About AGC of America
The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) is an organization of qualified construction contractors and industry related companies dedicated to skill, integrity and responsibility. Operating in partnership with its Chapters, the Association offers a full range of services satisfying the needs and concerns of its members, thereby improving the quality of construction and protecting the public interest.
AGC of America has been promoting and advocating for construction since 1918, when Chicagoland AGC helped found the parent organization. Today, AGC is comprised of 89 chartered Chapter affiliates representing more than 27,000 member firms associated with the construction industry. Through AGC of America, chartered Chapters and their members are provided with professional development opportunities, information on latest industry trends, and discounts on products, programs and services.
Upon joining Chicagoland AGC, you will automatically receive the added value of membership in AGC of America. From the office to the job site, AGC is focused on growing construction markets, reducing regulatory burdens, staying involved in emerging issues and trends and improving contractors’ business practices. AGC is present throughout state and local communities with chartered Chapters in each U.S. state, resulting in seamless relationships between contractors across the country and their association.
