Chicagoland AGC elevates our longstanding OSHA alliance to the prestigious and exclusive OSHA Ambassador Alliance Program.

Since entering into an Alliance in 2018 with subsequent renewals, the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Naperville, Chicago North and Chicago South Area Office and Chicagoland AGC have worked together to improve workplace health and safety by sharing information, guidance, and access to training resources that address occupational hazards, as well as promoting understanding of worker rights and employer responsibilities under the Occupational Safety and Health Act.

OSHA and Chicagoland AGC continue to recognize the value of maintaining a collaborative relationship to improve safety and health practices and programs in American workplaces and commit to continue our work together through an Alliance Program Ambassador relationship.

CAGC and OSHA are committed to:

  • Sharing pertinent information on OSHA's National Initiatives (Enforcement, Regulatory, and Outreach) and opportunities to participate in outreach initiatives and rulemaking process
  • Sharing information on occupational safety and health laws and standards, including the rights and responsibilities of workers and employees
  • Convening Safety Forums, roundtable discussions, and stakeholder meetings to provide training on “focus four” hazards, ergonomic hazards, and other safety-related issues
  • Encourage worker participation in workplace safety and health efforts
  • Develop effective training and education programs
